Potter is the surname of a wizarding family. In the beginning, it was a pure-blood family, but when James Potter and Lily Evans married, their son Harry and his children would be half-bloods. Most Potters are Sorted into Gryffindor when they arrive at Hogwarts. They are very wealthy. The Potters stood strongly against Voldemort during both Wizarding Wars.
